About This Event

Portland Adventist Elementary School, in partnership with the Mt Hood Jazz Festival, is featuring a 5K Run/Walk. Jazz Music will be performed along the race course. This Run/Walk is part of a regional event that is presented by the Mt. Hood Jazz Festival involving a variety of events spanning 3 days on the Mt. Hood Community College Campus, August 15-17, 2008.

Post-Race Party

Post race festivities included food, music, and the Mt Hood Jazz Festival activities. There were booths, an Art Walk, and the planetarium was open.

Age Groups

Competition will be held in the 5K event for the following men's and women's age groups: 12 years & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 years & over.

Entry Fees

5K Run/Walk $15 by August 9, 2008. Late Registration is $20 after August 9, 2008 via mail or online. (T-shirt is included) (No Refunds)

Starting at the flag poles, the 5K course loop will be both scenic and fun. Participants will be treated to a tour which remains completely on the beautiful campus. Packet Pick-up/Registration: Packet Pick-up will be on Friday August 15, 2008 from 10 A.M. to 6 P.M. at Joe's Sports, Outdoor & More in Gresham at 700 NW Eastman Parkway; Gresham, OR 97030. Registrations submitted at Joe's Sports on Packet Pick-up Day must make checks payable to Joe's Sports, at this location only.

Day-Of-Race Packet Pickup/Registration: Opens at 7:30 A.M. Pre-Race Warm-up begins at 8:30 A.M. Fun Run/Walk Starts at 9:00 A.M. Complete Regisration Form online, print, sign and bring with your payment for onsite registration.

Awards

Awards will be presented, at the conclusion of the race, to the Overall Male and Female finishers, and the top Master Male and Female finishers. The top three male and female finishers in each age division will also receive an award. In addition, other prize drawings will be available.
