Kid's Fun Zone
In collaboration with the Mt Hood Jazz Festival, the 2009 events will offer the Kid's Fun Zone open from 8:30am until Noon, with Kids Fun Zone Stations: Each Station will have a stamp that can be put in a booklet or Jazz Run logo sheet.
Kids can collect a stamp from each of the following stations:
- The Gresham and Mt Hood Jazz Run – Stamp of Jazz Run logo. Shoehorn will be at the Start line (Tap dancing saxophonist). A Goody Bag will be given out that will have goodies as well as a kids meal coupons.
- OMSI – Stamp of lab theme and activity
- The Oregon Zoo – Stamp of Sumatra the baby elephant, with Zoo Animal Presenter Program
- The Portland Children’s Museum – Stamp of an artist paint tray, art themed project
- Bouncy House at each event– Stamp of a bouncy house
- Face Painters – Stamp of a Clown Face
- Balloon Artists – Stamp of a Balloon
- Button Booth – Stamp of Jazz Run Logo
- Jaciva Chocolate Booth – Stamp of a cookie
- Hiebert and Smith Dental Group, PC – Stamp of a tooth - Dental Education
- Guide Dogs for the Blind – Stamp of a Dog – Information about organization and how the community can be involved.
- Oregon Medical Laser Center – Stamp of a Beaker – The OMLC Staff will do a Hemcon Bandage interactive booth.
- Portland Trailblazers – “Make it Better” Campaign – Stamp of a Basketball – Trailblazer Staff will be promoting upcoming games and packages for games. Handing out flyers to promote the $5 benefit per ticket that will go to the non-profits of the Jazz Run – (Gresham Jazz Run Only)
The Mt Hood Jazz Run and Gresham Jazz Run reserve the right to change the listed participants as the event draws closer. This is a family centered event, and all efforts will be made to provide a wonderful time for all children participating.
