What: First annual Gresham Jazz Run featuring Kids -1K, Kids -2K, 5K and 10K run/walk and Half-Marathon run/walk.

9:15 am 10K Run/Walk starts
9:45 am 5 K Run/Walk starts
Who: This is a family event as well as an event for serious runners. The 1K and 2K runs are geared toward children. Championchip® timing will be used for the 5K, 10K Half-Marathon races for the following men’s and women’s age groups: 12 years and under, 13-15, 1-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 34-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 years and over.
Q: How do I register for a race?
A: You can register in a number of different ways:
1. Online at Greshamjazzrun.com.
2. Mail In: Signed entry form/waiver with check payable to PAES to: Gresham Jazz Run, 4840 SW Western Ave. #400, Beaverton, OR 97005
3. Day of the Race. Look for the Packet-Pickup and Registration Booth/Table. Booth opens at 6:30 am at Gresham Main City Park, 219 S. Main Avenue, Gresham, OR 97080.

Q: How much are the registration fees?
A: 5K Run/Walk - $15 by September 27, 2008. Late registration is $20.
10K Run/Walk - $25 by September 27, 2008. Late registration is $30.
Half-Marathon Run/Walk is $35 by September 27, 2008. Late registration is $40. The 1K and 2K Kids Runs are $8. There are no late registration fees for the 1K and 2K races.
Q: How can I confirm my registration?

Q: What locations are available for race packet pick up?
A: Packet pick up will be located at Joe’s Sports, Outdoor & More, 700 NW Eastman Parkway, Gresham, OR 97030, Friday, October 10, 2008 from 10 AM to 6 PM.
On day of race, packets can be picked up at the race site, Packet Pick-up/Registration table/booth at Gresham Main City Park. Booth opens at 6:30 AM.
Q: What is in my packet?
A: Entrants must pick up their packet which includes their timing chip, bib, pins, T-shirt and goodie bag before the race.
Q: Are strollers allowed on the race course?
A: Yes. Strollers are allowed for the 1K & 2K Kids runs and the 5K Run/Walk only. Line-up for strollers at the race will be at the back of the line.
Q: Can I walk the various races?
A: Yes. Walkers will line up behind the runners at the race start line.
Q: Do you have Course Maps?
A: Course maps for all events will be available here soon.
Q: What will be provided along the race courses?
A: Water stations approximately every 2-3 miles will be provided. Also look forward to entertaining Jazz Music performed along the various courses. No food will be provided along the course.
Q: Will there be awards and prizes?
A: Yes. An Awards Ceremony will start close to 11:00 AM for the 5K, 11:30 AM for the10K and 12:00 pm for the 1/2 –Marathon for all men’s and women’s age groups listed as well as Overall Male and Female winners and Overall Masters Male and Female. All children registered for the 1K and 2K runs will win a medal, T-shirt and receive a children’s goodie bag. Many prizes will be raffled off to attending race participants. Andy Carson of KPTV Channel 12 Weather will be the Awards Presenter for the Gresham Jazz Run.
